Information on deferral of registration
The following decision was taken at the Council of Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 31.03.2020: “Considering that the global epidemic of COVID-19 occurred after the start of 2019-2020 academic year Spring semester, the add-drop period has already ended in higher education institutions when the decision to switch to distance education was taken and the fact that some students do not have the opportunity to continue with distance education during the semester, it has been decided that if the students enrolled at the associate, undergraduate and postgraduate level in higher education institutions demand from the higher education institutions they are enrolled in, they will be able to defer registration for 2019-2020 academic year Spring semester only, and deferred period will not be counted against the maximum education period.”
Based on the decision stated above, students can apply for deferred registration with a petition until 15 May 2020 to the faculties, schools, vocational schools, graduate schools they are enrolled in.
Tuition fee payments made by associate, undergraduate, and graduate students, who deferred registration, for 2019-2020 academic year spring semester, will be deducted from the following semester’s tuition fee pursuant to Article 39 (item three) of “IUE Regulation for Associate and Undergraduate Degree Education and Examinations” and Article 45 (item three) of “IUE Graduate Degree Education Bylaw”.
